Apparently after 3 months training I now hold the world speed cycling record!

Apparently and certainly very suprisingly I am now the fastest ever time trial cyclist on earth. Tonight I completed my first timed 20k cycle ride - Home to Alrewas (on the A38). According to Endomondo (an app. on my Blackberry that records distances and speeds using GPS tracking) I travelled 12.66 miles in 21mins. This is faster than Chris Boardman who recorded an average speed of 51kph in the fastest ever stage of the Tour de France in 1994 over 7k.

According to Endomondo I averaged 57.3 kp/h over 21k. Has anyone got Chris's phone number so I can let him know and while I am at it I should call the Guiness Book of Records. Or maybe GPS satellites have a similar indifferent attitude towards Staffordshire as Jeremy Clarkson.

P.S. Sadly the actual time according to the watch was 49 minutes but don't tell anyone.
